Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online. Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age groups, with a strong sense of community and support for the environment.
They are awesomeeeeee. Most caches contain little goodies along with a notebook so you can trade knick knacks while leaving your team name. Some caches have puzzles to solve, some are competitions, but all of them are unique which makes it a great experience.
The bf and I did a couple of caches a couple of months ago and found a beautiful hidden beach, a romantic lake, and gorgeous greenery. It really opened my eyes to how much beauty there really is in the world and sometimes we need to just step back from the mayhem of our everyday lives to truly admire it. Currently, there's more than a MILLION geocaches around the world! Given that it is Earth Day, everyone should really check this out....you won't regret it. So let's go HUG A TREE :)
